After initial appointment was delayed due to staff shortages at the Victoria Hospital (Kirkcaldy) yesterday I attended and had the procedure done.
Was pleasantly surprised how 'comfortable' it all was, although I'm sure the high dose of sedation probably helped !
In the end they took 5 biopsies from my windpipe and lungs which was a bit more than I thought - and did set some alarm bells ringing - although was also reassured by the oncologist's notes on the referral which said "suspected non cancerous".
Hopefully the next two week's wait for the results will go in quickly enough and can start looking forward to enjoying Christmas !
Fingers crossed for you.
