yeah, I know.. stop touching it then..
but, on a more serious note.. could this be where they attacked the base of tongue? right side, upper trap, neck/shoulder area..
I know that I'm still healing after 8 months, but just curious TBH.
We went through together - although in different hospitals. My neck on the side where they did the least RT has become really itchy in the last week or so - just down by the collar bone. Also the back of my neck gets itchy, but not to the extent of my neck. E45 anti itch cream sorts it out for a few hours, but it is annoying in the night. Like you, I assume it is some healing going on. I will ask at my next follow-up appointment.
I have my oncology meeting next week.. so I will raise the question.
My tongue still gets sore.. especially towards the back teeth.. but only to be expected I suppose

Oropharyngeal right tongue base T2N2bM0 squamous cell carcinoma p16 positive..
My tongue has now settled down, but I still get tenderness around a molar that was right in the firing line. Not really a problem, just the after effects of what we went through. I am awaiting an oral surgery appointment as my teeth are wearing away quickly, probably due to excessive chewing in order to get food ready to swallow. I just want to make sure they don't split as they are forming a ridge that I feel may get caught accidently whilst eating.
that sounds a bit grim.. hope all goes well ..

Is this at the back of your teeth where they meet the gum, Peter?

I wrote a blog about my cancer. just click on the link below
No, it is the front teeth, The back of the top of the lower front teeth are wearing. I can see where the upper teeth slide across as I chew. So the lower teeth have a step at the top and I am concerned that I may split off the front of those teeth if I catch anything hard.
