Hi everyone
I've found a cure..
Well not quite sadly but after 6 months of being pretty much at home or in RUH bath I took the family on a last minute holiday to Cornwall. We popped into the Eden Project which is a fantastic day out, the kids loved it as I did I. I was very happy to be out.
Mid way around the rain forest area I realised I hadn't use my water bottle much and I was convinced my saliva had returned a bit. Only a bit but a noticeable change to this I was absolutely delighted at any small sign of improvement. This is week 5 post treatment so I'm feeling very lucky. I still can't eat without drying out so it's still baby steps.
My next big surprise was when we stopped in the cafe all of a sudden my ear fizzed and I was able to pop it and after 7 weeks of deafness I could hear. The other ear is still not working though but it was so overwhelming I burst into tears. I've been like a pregnant lady at times with my emotions since diagnosis. I'm a 42 year old male. My poor kids said what's wrong with daddy as my wife burst into tears too.
Any an insight into my lif. It may bee a coiinnnccidencce it may be the cornish landlines but I'd recommend heading to Eden
Love to you all. Your discussions have been a real help to me. ️
Hi Ozzy
That is terrific news and what a wonderful result from your day out. Things do improve but it does take time and it looks as though you are well on the way. I remember the day some weeks after radiotherapy that I suddenly realised that my energy had returned. It just happened and I was so happy and never looked back after that. I even marked it on my calendar as it was like a miracle. It seems such a hard slog and then some semblance of normality returns, no wonder your were overwhelmed. Congratulations it is only up from here on.
When we visited the U.K. a few years ago we drove by the Eden Project but didn't have time to go in as we were on the way to St. Michael's Mount. I'm sorry we didn't go in now.

Hi Ozzy you are doing really well, having a holiday in such early days of your recovery is brilliant. Things will improve with time your body has a lot of healing to do. I think the emotions, do kick in when your treatment finishes, it seems that during the treatment there is that much going on, you don't have time to think about things too much, then when it's all over, you have lots of time to think about what has just happened to you. I agree the Eden Project is a great place to visit. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. All the best.
Regards Ray.
Oh I'm so pleased for you...Sounds a great trip.....and beautiful weather
The Eden Project is a wonderful sight indeed
It may bee a coiinnnccidencce it may be the cornish landlines
Leylines And I'm sure they exist...I can certainly find them in my garden.
