Hi everyone , I wanted to update you all from my last post .
After being told from my last PET scan there was uptake of activity on my Lumber spine and that they could not rule out the cancer had spread , I felt I was back to square one after the last 6 months of radio and chemo treatment.
This week I had a letter advising that there is no evidence of metastatic disease in my lumbar after the MRI scan , OMG , that's been a long few weeks of stress and anxiety but I can see some light at the end of the tunnel now , seeing the consultant Thursday to discuss my rountine check up plan and my next PET scan date.
Do I need a holiday, can anyone advise the best travel insurance if you are recovering from Cancer .
Thanks
X
Hi. A lot of folk on here use Staysure.
You might not get the cancer covered but everything else.

Hi
I depends if you feel you need to have cover for your cancer or not. In my case I am happy not to have cover for the cancer as a) we book late and have now decided to book and travel between review appointments and b) I feel that if I have any cancer concerns they can wait until I return to the UK to get sorted. This approach is not for everyone.
In my case I am insured through my bank for everything except the cancer at no additional premium. They will not cover me for the cancer - hence my risk appetite outlined above.
Hi Brum08
I'm not a member of this group, but your subject title caught my eye.
Unfortunately, it can be more difficult to find travel insurance when you've had a cancer diagnosis so can I recommend that you join us over in the travel insurance group where you'll find recommendations from others who have been successful. Once you've joined look for the thread called 'recommended travel insurance' as this is where the majority of recommendations are.
This year I used goodtogoinsurance.com and they were happy to include my breast and melanoma cancers.

Hi Latchbrook. What sort of premium did you end up paying if you don’t mind letting us know?

Hi
No, I don't mind letting you know but I'm not sure if it will be helpful or not. We had single trip cover for 80 days in Europe for both myself and my husband. My husband also had a pre-existing medical condition, although not cancer, and the premium was £280.
Hi Latchbrook.
latchbrook ooops sorry.
It is helpful thanks.
