Afternoon,
So had a clinic today and getting MRI booked in to see post chemo/rt prognosis. Consultant was his usual jolly self reminding us as to how serious and aggressive tongue cancers are and due to my continued lymphedema battle, seems concerned. The hard part with all this is going from "belt and braces" for the post surgery chemo/rt to "I have done all I can" inference he gave today. So May 15th is new d-day when he will deliver verdict based on MRI etc. I remain optimistic that it's 90/10 in the "sorted" favour but realistic too. In the advent that the cancer was not defeated in the neck areas (the target of the rt) what are the likely treatment paths based on this sort of scenario? Not sure I want to go into that meeting in May, totally naive.
Cheers peeps!

Hi l Gene Remain optimistic. Consultants by nature sometimes don’t even realise the stress they put patients under by a careless word. There’s other options you’ve had your quota of radiotherapy but if need be there’s trials snd immunotherapy. Put it out if your head. May will come and it will go.
