Hi everyone
I can give hope to all those going through or just finisher treatment
I finished 35 sessions of RT early Jan 2022 I just want to erase 2022.
Things are brighter now. Mt taste is well returned and appetite getting better
I had been told what to expect but when you feel well its hard to imagine how bad it can get. everyone said things would improve and they were right.
I have been on fortisip and nutricrem. I struggled with eating and one of the first things I enjoyed was Ginger biscuits, they even helped the nausea
when I told my dietitian she changed my fortisip to Fortisip Compact Protein (Hot Tropical Ginger Flavour) I can tolerate these better and slowly things are improving.
I am 76 and live alone (though my family keep check on me) To all those in the depths of despair hang in there read all the posts and take heart. There is so much support on here.
This journey is like a conveyor belt and its going pretty fast so hang on and it will slow down then you can step off and join all the others who have travelled.
Ivan
Hi Ivan. So good to hear you are improving. You’re right. It’s a marathon but we have to listen to our bodies and take it day by day.
Where I fell down at the beginning was setting over optimistic unrealistic goals for myself and having to cope with the resulting disappointment.
Well done.
