Hi All just wondering the way I will be effected after treatment long term. I know we are all different and things come and go etc. From having a runny nose , ears ringing , feeling dizzy , cold feet , cold hands etc . I suppose i am just trying to get other peoples views who have been through it already. Many Thanks Regards Min

  • When I was taking Laxido at first I was constantly getting that smell or orange  . I know your smell  and taste can be affected when getting treatment but I sometimes get a burning smell and its like its coming from me , maybe its parts of me that have been fried I dont know. I tried a few mouthfuls of rice kcrispies earlier  and they were horrible and nearly made me throw up . All The Best To Every One Regards Min

  • Hi mI’m  the burning smell goes. Whenever I got up in night for a few weeks I would fuse the lights if I turned them on. Plus whenever hubby braked in car I would smell a cordite type  smell. Rice Krispies do take some eating it’s a bit like mince the smaller types of food pieces are hardest to swallow. Some laxido s are orange flavoured .
    It does all go away.

  • Hi Min

Sorry to hear that you had to go through an operation for your heart and then the next year another one with the cancer operation. Wishing you many operation free years from now on.

  • Hi Min

I had Lhermitte's.  It can last for about 6 - 12 months.  I still get it very occasionally but nothing like before.

Min, I panicked a bit when I first felt these electric shocks so when I spoke to my HNC nurse on the phone and mentioned them  he said “Carol can you bend your head so your chin touches your chest” I did so and wham there was the shock again. He said that I’d got the classic symptoms of Lhermitte’s, sometimes referred to as Lhermitte’s sign or Lhermitte’s phenomenon also known as barber chair sign. As I said it lasts a split second and causes no discomfort and I just feel it in the back of my neck, my thighs, calves and bottom of my feet.

  • Hi Rhondda So long as it doesn't affect my health to much I will just add it to my list for the time being. Eating food is my next priority All The Best Regards Min
