Hello everyone, my partner has a neck lump which was checked out on 2 week pathway. ENT camera last week showed a mass that Dr said was ‘quite serious’ and given MDT details, Macmillan nurse etc. CT scan and MRI done with biopsy on Thursday. This forum is great and although we’re waiting for final results we feel reassured and comforted by reading about others experiences. Keeping busy is definitely helping with the wait! Knowing that you lovely folk are there should we need anything later down the line is fab. Thank you all x
Hi Goad the forum is helping it’s the waiting game which I remember well. Once a treatment plan gets out in place you've something to work towards. We’re all here ready to offer assistance if you need us.

Hi. Hope it's not too long to wait until you get further news. Waiting is horrible, but we're here if you need us. xx
Thank you Margaret, busy jobs take our minds off things x
Hi all, we have an appt on 4 December which will presumably tell us about the results of MRI, biopsy etc. His notes on the NHS app after the initial ENT examination say strong suspicion of malignancy of left oropharynx (tongue base) with legion at tonsil pole and possible invasion of epiglottis. Jaw and larynx appear normal. He’s quite ‘relaxed’ at the moment as he can’t do anything except wait. In the meantime we’re treating ourselves to an M&S roast dinner tonight!
Nothing else to do but wait, worrying only makes a bad situation worse, I enjoyed my favourite foods while waiting for the treatment to begin, knew that things would go south for a while during treatment and recovery, took my wife away for a hotel break, helped take our minds off the upcoming task.

That’s what we’re thinking too. A big helping of banoffee pie is on the menu on Sunday which is his favourite dessert!
