  • I was prescribed pregabalin for restless leg and hand syndrome, Cisplatin chemotherapy/antiemetic side effects, still use it occasionally.

  • Hi Hazel7797

There is a paste for mouth ulcers and sores which is not widely advertised. I suffered greatly with mouth ulcers following treatment for breast cancer in 2002. I have just started treatment for tonsil cancer and the sores are back. I managed to find the paste on Amazon which offered immediate release. It created a film over the sore whilst healing takes place. Please speak to a health care professional about it and avoid buying on eBay. All I can say is unlike the many gels on the market - this paste is a godsend. Best wishes always

  • I buy a paste called Kenalog which sounds a lot like the one Evelyn is talking about. I used it a lot to help calm down my lichen planus when it played up in the past and it is great for mouth ulcers too. It sticks to the area and does not wash off and helps healing fairly quickly. Used to be on prescription but I can now buy it at the chemist. Don't know where you might be able to buy it in the U.K. though.

  • Thanks, Lyn

I had a look round Amazon and couldn't find a paste. but I did find some patches. It's worth anybody asking about these. I'm not sure myself as RT ulcers are quite different from other mouth ulcers and don't heal in the couple of weeks that others do. A professional opinion is needed I think.

The foray round  Amazon on Prime Day was costly though......It cost me £850 for a new MacBook Grin

That’s really good news. Proper pain relief and rehydration makes all the difference
