Hello all, I hope you are doing ok..
My partner is 8 months post chemo radiation for T3N0M0 Larynx SCC.
We returned home from a lovely holiday in Majorca last week but whilst we were away, his voice became quite raspy and still is. He is due a check up next week anyway and he had NED 7 weeks ago at his last check up.
Does anyone know if these voice changes could be due to air con etc, it’s starting to concern me a bit as it doesn’t seem to be getting much better with steaming and a humidifier.
Thank you
Lianne
Hi often dry hot weather can affect our voices along with flying. Keep him well hydrated tea coffee snd alcohol dries us out and you are doing the right thing seeing his consultant we are always told they would sooner see us than not. I’m 7 years post and on way to Spain where I know August temperatures will dry me out if I don’t drink enough water.
let us know what they say.
hugs

Dry air certainly can but it needs checking.
My first husband had radiation for laryngeal cancer and developed a hoarse voice again six months later. The cancer had come back. I’m not saying this is the case with your husband but it can’t be ignored. At least you don’t have long to wait for it to be checked.
