Well, here’s a group I wasn’t expecting to be in. But then who of us does?
Clawed my way through Triple Negative breast cancer, roughly 12 years ago. Found to be BRCA1, so the other boob was removed, plus ovaries, and anything else in the way .
Been through Gynae cancer, with hysterectomy. I’ve been checked and checked with Guys….theyve looked everywhere for a possible reason for slightly raised tumour markers, and after a PET scan……there it was……a neck lesion.
Which brings me here.
It’s in the saliva gland. Feels like a marble just under my ear. I’ve been ignoring it for over a year, as I’d put it down to being a cyst. Silly me.
So my consultant appointment, still at Guys, different department, is on Wednesday, where I expect they’ll do a biopsy, and take it from there, although from what I understand, it’ll be removed, whatever the content.
Would love to connect. This is an area I know nothing of, neck of all places…..
Hi Squaredog
You should know a lot more when your biopsy is done, they had a couple of goes at my tonsil and neck before I was given results, HPV16 plus Tonsil cancer which required Chemoradio.... keep the forum updated with your progress, always someone around to support you and help with up to date advice
