Hi there
Im new here and finished RT three months ago for neck cancer. Last week I said goodbye to Simon my PEG who had become part of me and a lifesaver when I had no appetite for anything inc water. Simon was my only way of keeping hydrated, food wasn’t even on my radar.
My question is , how long does it take for the insertion point to heal up and what does it look like? I currently have two belly buttons!
Kind regards Knotty
that's it.. say hello to your new belly button... I call mine my 'bullet hole' lol

It doesn't take long, it will always be a scary but remember that small bullet hole ( I liked that) saved your life. All the very bestest wishes for your future.
Hi
I had mine taken out 4 months ago and don't notice it now. In fact after a couple of weeks it was totally healed. Over time it has flattened out and now looks like a small dimple. I am rather sad that it is all it is! It is a badge of honour
