Well there was I thinking I could just clear off skiing for a week before the start of treatment, only to just be told the Post Office will not cover me……I’ve had annual policies with them for years!!
Absolute nightmare trying to find an insurer for winter sports for less than £1000……has anyone thought ‘sod it’ I’m just going away!?!?
still waiting for a chance with a broker to come back to me, £900’ish
Hi try staysure or ask if they will cover you but not the cancer ? I wouldn’t advocate any one going without insurance I was a travel agent in my previous life. But do you have the gh1c card? Or old Eh1c card depending your your attitude to risk check if country you’re going to is covered. You get emergency cover basic but nothing else no repatriation etc can’t say if skiing is covered but your choice.

Agree with others. Try to get cover excluding the cancer

Hi
I was exactly the same as I get claustrophobic need diazepam for MrIs and PET scans
The mask fitting was like having warm flannels on your face and neck that after only minutes were quickly dried with fans and then got taken off.I couldnt believe how well it went!.I asked for eye holes and a mouth hole to be made due to me being claustrophobic which really helped.
The radiotherapy also wasnt half as bad as id anticipated… its all the gear of the unknown and your radiotherapy team are there to help you to het through the treatment.
I thought I would have to take diazepam every day but didnt need it at all after MRI.
Have a wonderful time in Italy x
Debbie

That’s good to hear! I had to have Diazepam for my mri too…..I’ve failed 2 in the past.
Did you need Diazepam for your mask fitting and or any of your radiation treatments?
many thanks
Deborah
