Hard to know where to start. Following a diagnosis of ear cancer I had my right ear removed in October 2021 in what turned out to be a 20 hour operation as the cancer had penetrated much deeper than was apparent from the scans. This included the removal of facial nerves - my face already beginning to droop - salivary glands and lymph nodes and full facial rebuilding using donor tissue from my  left thigh. Thirty fractions of Radiotherapy followed finishing about this time last year. I have subsequently had 37 fractions aimed at my prostate cancer. My consultant describes peeling tumour from my brain at 2 in the morning and debating whether or not to continue. I have  had regular consultations and scans since. An area of concern was highlighted in the summer attached to my carotid artery therefore inoperable. This had  vanished on the next scan but a larger area of concern was identified at the base of my skull and subsequentially biopsied. I see my consultant on Monday for discussions and already booked in for a pre-op check as  think the plan is to administer immunotherapy using Pembromizulab (Keytruda). I will be posting separately on that but any experiences would be gratefully received.

Recently there has been problems. Lost feeling on the right side of my face, difficulty speaking, difficulty eating and swallowing.

Anyone any experience of where this goes of can it improve??

A big concern is my wife who has to bear the burden. My sons do what they can but they both have young families, busy jobs and live some distance away. Any suggestions on getting her support greatly appreciated.
