Hi first time posting on here. My husband ( who is hopeless with technology) was diagnosed in September 2018 with a tumour on the base of his tongue, cancer in left and right lymph nodes and a muscle in the front of his neck. Was unable to operate so had 6 weeks radio therapy and chemotherapy. This was a success and has been cancer free for 27 months, but has unfortunately left him unable to swallow anything Including his own saliva, he was operated on last year in July to try to re open his throat, this involved 2 surgeons, a radiologist and ent surgeon, the plan was to go up through his feeding tube port hole and create a new hole in the throat! Unfortunately this was unsuccessful, he is desperate for them to have another try, but it seems as though they have given up on the operation. Was wondering if any one else was the same as my husband? And if any one had had a similar operation and could give us any advice on what to do thanks
Hi Sid67. Welcome to our small community and sorry to hear the issues you and your hubby’s facing. Sorry I can’t offer any advise hopefully someone will pop along who can.
best wishes Hazel
