Hello everyone, having read some of your stories mine may seem a little insignificant but I’m feel like I’m going crazy with worrying, in October I was diagnosed with vocal cord cancer, it was early stages and I finished radiotherapy at the end of December, I did have some of the side affects, trouble eating, too much mucus and loss of voice, thankfully things are starting to get better apart from my voice which to start with came back ok, but for the past month has almost completely gone again. All I keep thinking is that the radiotherapy hasn’t worked, I have had a check up which was ok but not due to go again for 3 weeks. It was loss of voice that made me see the doctor at the first place so expecting the worst, just wanted to know if anyone else has had the same problem?
thanks in advance
Ian
Hi Ian. New symptoms are guaranteed to make us worry. If you have lost your voice since your last check up the best thing would be to contact your CNS and ask them to slot you in with your consultant. It may be absolutely nothing but there is no point in worrying till your next appointment.
Best wishes
Dani
