I was diagnosed with cancer of the larynx at the start of the first lock down, went through 6 weeks of chemoradiotherapy which was gruelling but I rang the bell and was still eating normally as I really didn't want a feeding tube. I have been cancer free since October but I am waiting on urgent mri scan results so hopefully it hasn't returned. I am struggling with all the side effects from the radiotherapy, lyphodema in my neck, swelling, pain, choking when swelling food and not making any natural saliva, there are other things but I don't want to bore you. If anyone has any tips or suggestions to make life easier I would love to hear them. I am also struggling with depression and anxiety which is getting worse.
Hi First, congratulations on finishing your treatment and fingers crossed for the MRI results. Any new symptoms after a cancer diagnosis do cause worry but it seems your doctors are straight on it. There is a dedicated Head and Neck Cancer group with a New Here say hello section. Click on this LINK and it will take you there. There are lots of tips for making your life easier. Please pop over to ask your questions to get focused support. I'm 2+ years out of radiotherapy which left me with ,many of your symptoms but they have largely abated and life is largely back to normal.

Hi Joannapink777 and welcome to the forum.
Please don't think you will be a bore if you ask questions regarding the difficulties you're experiencing with the side efects of treatment. We all need support and advice so more than willing to help where we can.
Have you seen your GP or spoken to anyone about feeling depressed and anxious?
