I finished the radiotherapy for cancer of my vocal cord at the start of the NewYear within a week after a coughing fit my voice went totally! after 2 weeks it has returned almost to normal but for those 2 weeks it was quite worrying to communicate with others was so difficult. Things are on the up, my appetite is not as it was my meals are smaller, but the taste has been good. Although still having that horrible mucus it's becoming less, I am hoping to have some encouraging news from my consultant on the 25th of February my birthday. wishing you all well and get well soon. Viv
Hi Viv. Sounds as if you are on the road to recovery. I’ll have my fingers crossed for you the week after next.

Hi Viv
Baby steps some days 2 forwards 1 back but each one counts.
good luck for the 25 th . The mucus goes as quickly as it comes one morning it will have gone hopefully not to be replaced with dry mouth like many of us get Your treatment was slightly lower so your saliva glands may have been spared.
