Dad got his pet scan done on Friday ,results are in and nothing found...
Dad's decided not to have any radiotherapy he just can't face it ,the ent surgeon said they'd got all the cancer out with clear margins and even though it's secondary they can't locate the primary after numerous scans including a pet scan.Watch and wait is what Dads opted for,and for the first time since all this shit started in April he sounded happy,upbeat and like he did before the word CANCER was uttered...and I'll take that as a win .Maybe the cancer in his parotid gland will come back,maybe it won't but at almost 80 he just wants to crack on with living whatever time he's got left ,and hopefully it'll be a few years
The NHS have been fantastic,the drs, nurses,the Macmillan cns who was always there at the end of the phone for a chat and the people on here with advice and they're own stories .
