just got a call from hospital want me to go in in two days for face to face with consultant praying it is ok
Hi Siany. The waiting is the worst so it is good that you have an early appointment. Once you know what is going on then a treatment plan can be put in place. Anxiety can make you really tired and the worry can be debilitating. I found once my treatment plan was in place it was a relief although not an outcome I desired. My cancer was jaw cancer so not the same as yours but we all experience similar worries and anxiety related to our diagnoses. Put together a list of questions to take to your appointment and make sure that you get them fully answered before you leave. If you can take someone along with you to help remember things as when you are anxious sometimes it is hard to retain all the info. Best wishes for your appointment.

Thanks so much for your reply yes the aniexty is a lot I have to keep remembering to focus one step at a time .. that’s great idea I will write some questions down as I always wish I had asked something after I leave. Thank you for the support.. yes maybe was aniexty making me tired I literally slept whole night and most of the day unlike me.
have you finished your treatment now ?
thank you again x
Yes my treatment finished in 2022 followed by some reconstructive surgery in 2023. I have rather a long history of jaw cancer starting in 2013 but am feeling quietly optimistic that it is finished with me now. I am feeling well and enjoying every day for what it brings. Having cancer gives you a different perspective on life. I have a 'new normal' but it is working fine for me.
Sending you my best wishes

Bless u Lyn you keep being optimistic you have come long way by the sounds of it, also with the reconstructive surgery .. I am a little scared about the facial palsey I may have after my parotidectomy
but it’s messages like yours that make me feel stronger so thank you so much for sharing
lots love to you
My dad is 80, He's just this last twelve weeks gone through parotid gland cancer treatment.Hw had the lump removed from his gland plus a neck dissection and has recovered from the surgery well .His cancer was secondary and they can't find the primary
He's opted for watch, wait and monitor rather than radiotherapy due to his age..
I've documented it on my blog.
Good luck with you're treatment
