So after base of tongue 7 years ago I developed ORN of right jaw. I have now been on PENTCLO for 3 years and up till a few weeks ago seemed to be going well. 3 weeks ago I had a heart attack and a stent inserted. I’m not sure if a coincidence but since then my mouth started to bleed more.
On checking I was horrified to see white what I think is bone protruding from the small hole that refuses to close. Today I had an OPG and while I’m waiting for the doctor to get back to me I can clearly see the gentamicin beads pushing up through the gum on the X-ray!
has anyone else experienced this? What does it mean?

Base of tongue cancer. T2N0M0 6 weeks Radiotherapy finished January 2019
The only issue i had was that after a while, the metal they used to help reconstruct my lower jaw started to show through my skin, so they had to do some more skin surgery to cover it, the cause was due to radiotherapy damaging the skin tissues. Not had any more issues since 2009. All the best.
