Hi,
With NHS GPs working so differently these days there appears to be unwillingness to help regarding pain and other symptoms. I have asked the hospital and they just refuse to help saying that it is the GP’s responsibility. I explain to the GP and they say it’s the hospital. I am left between two groups both unwilling to help.
Is there a way to get clarification on who is responsible for what?
I spoke to the CNS start of July who promised to chase up on various things (not pain related), and I haven’t heard back. Yes I agree both should be willing, especially with confirmed diagnosis and signs of progression, but no one listens to what I say…. even physical changes that are both audible and touchable when I explain seem to be shrugged off.
Hi. Are you still under hospital review or have you been discharged and referred back to your GP?

Take your issue to the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

Good evening Wildflower Dew, i agree with Dani, if you are still being seen by your consultant and the pain is linked to to the surgery/ treatment then they are responsible for your health, and if its a completely different issue your GP is responsible. I hope you manage to get the help you need, all the best.
