Just thought I'd do an update after mdt today. I now know my cancer is T2N0M0.hpv +.apparently small 25mm.
Decided today that as it's small , I'm a prime candidate for surgery. So that's what I've opted for ( very scary) . Apparently 85-90% it will be cured ( I'll take those odds).
Team very honest about pain etc, but once it's out I'm starting the road to recovery, in my view. They obviously can't say whether I'll need RT/chemo until after.
So should have neck dissection first in about 3 weeks to remove lymph nodes then main op about 2 weeks after that. I know I've got a long road to getbdiwn yet but feels like weight lifted off my shoulders now I know which treatment I'm facing.
Had alot of soul searching this week and am very grateful to anyone who answered my worries and anxieties.
