Hi
does this affect everyone?
Pretty much yes. But it’s temporary. Mist of us make a pretty uneventful recovery if we keep our weight up, stay hydrated do as our team tells us to and be kind to ourselves

A few people have said the same about the sleeping, it does feel like as he's not that sleepy anymore so, hopefully it's a good sign. Apparently he is taking some steps outside outside these days when I am at work. So fingers crossed. All the best x
Hi Spencer. My appearance has altered somewhat but this is down to the ops not radiotherapy. I have had 2 maxillectomies over time and a mandibulectomy so bound to have some appearance changes. My lips don't meet properly and the right side of my mouth droops a bit. I now look about 90% the same as I did before all my ops and I am happy with that. I feel the same inside and have adjusted to the changes and my family say they don't even notice anymore.

Hi,
my surgeries were on my tongue so not visible on the outside unless I try to stick my tongue out, it points to the side.
From my neck dissection I have a scar that will hopefully fade (1 month post-op) and an asymmetric smile. That is hopefully going to sort itself out in some months.
