Is this a bad experience

are you asleep

  • Plz have it ,has u will need it at some point, good luck and don't worry x

  • Did u feed throughout day with it

    tsje cox water through it

nothing by mouth ? How long for?

  • I did not use it to feed until the last day of my treatment as I was too stubborn to give up when they told me to!  Not a great plan.  After that I used it for pump feeding for the bulk food although I did still manage 2 x fortisip a day orally.  I was on the pump food for around 6 weeks.  I chose to feed during the day, but I know others feed overnight.  It just worked better for me.

From around week 3 I did use the PEG for hydration and meds as I found both difficult to swallow, especially the water in the quantities the hospital wanted me to consume - keeping hydrated during and post treatment is as important as food and meds!
