Hi All.
Jumping on here as I can't find what I am looking for. Yoga link looks good, will look into. There were a couple of people who mentioned other exercises, but I can't find them. Basically, I am 2 1/2 post treatment and struggling with how to rebuild lost muscle in my arms (but worse still) in my legs. Some days are goodish but others I have to haul myself up 6 steps. I childmind toddlers so time is very limited. I was just after 1 exercise for legs and 1 for biceps that I can do in 5 minutes each day at home. I had a home video sent to me but it was more aerobic based (Paracise). Does anyone have any link they can point me in the direction of? Thank you. Tricia
Update on my previous post.
I had not realised that an underactive thyroid due to radiotherapy caused so many problems. I have gone from 25mcg to 100 mcg Levothyroxine in 1 1/2 years, still not sure I am at the correct dose yet. On the thyroid website, it mentions struggling with squatting and not being able to stand up and muscle waste, lack of energy, fatigue etc, I just put it all down to chemo/radio.
Randomly, I met a top eye consultant (cataract) a week ago and, he also knew about thyroid issues. He recommended Vitamin D3 1000 x 2 each day to help with bones/muscle/teeth and Omega Eye liquid for dry eyes.. Apparently as a female after the meonpause, you have a higher risk (especially if you have had a son) of hip fractures. I have been on his suggested meds for a week and already my eyes feel less gritty. It will take another few weeks for the Vitamin D levels to level out in my body but I am sensing a change.
I thought I would post as a possible TRY for anyone thinking there was nothing they could do.

Thanks for that PIYA. I do take vit D in the winter but don’t bother in the summer as I’m outside all day. I’m glad it helped you and yes we do have to keep an eye on our thyroid levels.

I was lucky being able to ride my bike helped my muscles return fairly quickly that snd I made sure I had 85 g of protein every day for almost 2 years. I take vit D in winter but with my frequent trips to Spain sm lucky I get a decent amount of sunshine.
you can get indoor bike trainers if you can’t get outside maybe pick one up online cheap? I used to bike in front of tv in winter months.

Hi Piya Something I didnt know about these exercise bands are that different colours are for different strengths , I can highly recommend using one for numerous exercises. Something that is super easy is standing on one leg. I am saying this to you after they took the muscle and other bits from my leg for my neck. I find walking one of the best exercises and great for my mind . All the best Minmax
