Hi again everyone. In case it's of interest to any of you who, like me are having I.munotherapy this is a really good interview to watch.

I follow the Institute of Cancer Research on Facebook, they have some really good articles and interviews with leading cancer professionals.

This one is particularly good, it's about the exciting developments with immunotherapy for Head and Neck patients.

Hope you find it as helpful as I have xx

  • Thanks for posting this - really interesting. I started immunotherapy with pembrolizumab  for HPV16 HNC that went metastatic on me (to my lungs); am about to have 3rd cycle next week, and fingers crossed all still going well!

  • Hi how are you finding it ?

I have my 4th round of Pembrolizumab next Wednesday, mine is for recurrence of Ca tonsill  (17 years ago !!!). So far the only side effect has been fatigue. Hope it's not been too bad for you.

Good luck for your next one xx

  • I think I've been really lucky in that I've had zero side effects (apart from being shattered on day I get infusion only). I even ran a marathon this morning!! I should get results on if it is being effective on reducing the tumours next week. So fingers crossed. And thank you for asking :-)

  • Hi thanks I’m starting nuvalob (not sure of spelling) soon and have no one to talk to about it

  • I had some scan results back a few weeks ago, and they have shown that all of the 6 tumours across both lungs have stopped growing and that there are no new tumours. So the Pembro looks to have stopped the spread of cancer in its tracks. Yay! No significant sign yet of tumours declining in size apart from one I think.

    How about you Tilly?

  • Hi Clarab, I'm always happy to chat, so drop me a reply anytime and I can send you eg my email.

What specifically will the immunotherapy be treating? I've had a look online, and looks like getting the drug is v similar to my having Pembro (that is a 30 minute infusion in hospital after a short infusion of saline through a canula). The whole process is very quick. Best, Anson

  • Hi

That’s good news pleased to hear it it’s to stop the cells keep growing and get control of things the surgeon won’t touch it so I’m going to get a second opinion
