I have been given a 3 week review for a lump under my tongue by the dentist. He was concerned it was cancer as I smoke . After my review and if nothing changed referring me to specialist. Absolutely petrified.
Hi Wenzo and welcome to our community.
I’m hoping that as you’re pre diagnosis you won’t have to stay long.
If that was me and If that lump has been there longer than three weeks I’d get that referral now.
No sense in waiting

Hi Wenzo and welcome
At least your dentist is on the ball. Waiting is absolute hell, but remember 2 things. The first is that the vast majority of referrals turn out to be non cancer and, secondly, we are here for you. Here's hoping the first is true in your case.
Hope you get good news wenzo on this, and it turns out to not be sinister.
You have done the right thing getting referred. As mentioned most referrals do not result in a cancer diagnosis.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
