Suspected mouth cancer

Best thing out is to see a specialist as the worst thing is not knowing what it is and if it is cancer the quicker it is dealt with the better it is

I’m hoping that as you’re pre diagnosis you won’t have to stay long.
If that was me and If that lump has been there longer than three weeks I’d get that referral now.

At least your dentist is on the ball.  Waiting is absolute hell, but remember 2 things.  The first is that the vast majority of referrals turn out to be non cancer and, secondly, we are here for you.  Here's hoping the first is true in your case.

You have done the right thing getting referred. As mentioned most referrals do not result in a cancer diagnosis.
