I had my RT Mask made today and my RT treatment will commence on Monday 14th June.

Can any of the gentlemen on here recommend a good and economical battery shaver?

Thanks,

  • Good evening, i would recommend a Phillips or Braun, i have had my rechargeable one for 10 years now, it has 3 rotary heads on it , i expect there are better models nowadays, i used to wet shave but stopped because of surgery and RT. Hope the mask fitting went ok , i quite enjoyed mine being made. Take care.

  • I find Phillishave rotary the best. Mine has 3 heads too and is rechargeable. It also doubles up as a quite effective lymphodema massager while I’m shaving my neck! About £50 from Boots.

  • Agree with the above, Phillips rotary all the way, like Chris I wet shaved before treatment and found with a bit of perseverence you can very nearly as good a shave. Mine is a rechargable series 1000 which I just saw on Boots website for £40. Good luck with everything.

  • I totally agree with the recommendation of the Phillips rotary.  I don't get on with the Braun straight foils.  I managed to get a new 3000 series razor off eBay last week to replace my travel razor for around £40.  I've got to say it gives a great shave - as good as my main 9000 series razor which was uber expensive (and not worth it!)

  • Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I have decided to go with your recommendations and ordered a rotary Philips S3134 Shaver in my next delivery from Tesco - £20 off with my clubcard. I did consider an S1000 series but, being Scottish, I spent a wee bit extra Wink

  • Good choice.
