Had a phone call this morning, the appointment with the oncology nurse for tomorrow is now today, the chemoradiation that was starting next Wednesday is now starting tomorrow.
Deep breaths!! Know it will be fine but still big eeek!
"Eeeek!!" sounds about right Julie. Good luck with everything, my chemo/RT was more than seven years ago now but still fresh in the memory. It's no picnic (I don't need to tell you that) but you'll come out the other side as many of us on here have; keep in touch with the community, it really is a great source of support.
Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.
Ouch. I bet that was a bit of a surprise. A slot has opened up and you’re in it.
Hang on in there and you’ll get through it in no time..... a day at a time. If a 68 ( then) year olds like me can do it so can you.
Keep in touch
Dani
