So here I am, it's 2014 and I'm in hospital again for another adventure under the knife.
In 2012 I was given the shocking news that I had cancer in my sinus (the ethmolid sinus) and it had grown out of that space and backwards into my head and around the eye. Now at that moment I had no idea what was going to happen, my perfectly good eye was going to have to go and much more.. "whatever it takes I said"
I started writing down my journey, as it became the never ending story of crazy operations, I created my own blog where you can read more and see lots of pictures of my journey.
It is now 2021 and it has been 4 years since my last hospital appointment (the good one where they say don't come back!)
I know how hard this journey is, physically and especially mentally, but I hope my story and journey shows that you can not only survive, but you face the world again, and live your life!
Hi Dan
What a wonderful post showing courage, hope, determination, a great medical team, great support and a fantastic outcome. I look a bit different because I had surgery and know what I went through to face the world again. The mental and emotional stress of a cancer diagnosis and all that goes with it certainly challenges us. What you have been through and the outcome is truly amazing and inspiring to others going through this.
Amazing post I wish you all the best. Thanks for sharing and giving hope and encouragement.
Nicky

Hi Dan
Congratulations, it’s great what time and a positive attitude accomplishes. Thanks so much for sharing your story and the great outcome that was achieved. It must have been a hard time for you but you look really healthy now and ready to take on anything that life throws your way.
By the way I know you have probably heard it a hundred times before but the eye patch gives you a certain air of mystery.
Best wishes
Lyn
