  • I make my porridge (well, Ready Brek at the mo) with half milk and half Fortisip. It adds a few calories and some flavour - not that I can really taste it!

  • Hi in recovery cheese on toast dipped into soup was snd still us a good lunchtime food for me. Now I can do hone made bread but for a good 12 month it was crappy  thin white lashings of butter grated the cheese as well to start with. Impressed if you can do tomato soup took me a long time to tolerate tomatoes. Now I make bsweeeg red pepper and roasted tomato soup at least twice a week xx experiment as long as you’ve something on standby to supplement your calorie intake

  • Thats a good idea Dani . I went vegan about a year and a half ago and then had a heart attack and stent fitted but all good. So they run an on line vegan course which I started and really loved as they  do some amazing food and have literally saved me a fortune on curries etc, They also do a happy heart course which I was doing until the cancer got in the way lol . I never thought I would be cooking let alone eating food like this. Well worth a look as they go back to basic cooking and skills even I can copy. A serious eye opener All the Best Regards Min

  • Brill idea. Especially as we know vegetarian or vegan is easier than meat in early days.
    Let’s get new thread started.

  • Ground almonds in porridge or yoghurt helps beef up protein content too. I like the idea if cashews tho Blush
