Hi Panch Now thats a great idea and a good way to bulk up a few eggs, I had 2 scrambled eggs this morning on really thin toast, egg was fine and easy to go down, Just tried the mash and a few other bits and texture was horrible and putting me right off, So just cracked a bottle of Fortisip instead. Might try a home made banana milk shake tomorrow. All The Best Regards Min
Hi minmsx. Yep food is indeed a medicine. For a while it become eat too live rather than live to eat. But it’s not forever you have to force yourself to eat as that promotes healing. But more if that when you’re fully radiated !!!sleep well

Hi sweet potatoes are still easiestbfir me even over 2 years postvtreatment unless it’s a roast potato then a decent one I found is a King Edward cooked in goose fat ignoring the copious calories because I am worth it. Lol
Mash potatoes is often grainy and floppy you find out what’s worth having and what’s not some days trial and error.
sweet potato fries are also good

Oh That mash was horrid and had some paste which was to dry. I could imaging some of those pasta packets you just boil with cheese or spinach in them might work. Got loads of tins of soup , think potato and leak might be out the window along with anything that is spicy, Got weetabix and rice crispys aint bad with blackberries , Porridge didn't taste that good either, I was thinking of sticking an egg or two and some milk in a pan and heat them up and put some honey in. Daughter mentioned last thing I needed was salmonella lol Thanks Regards All Min
Hi Minimax I still can’t do spicy even now , yiu can try pasta but in mybcase I found it hard to swallow. Poached eggs on cheap nasty white bread toasted I could eat quite early on Plus always had Ensure s as standbys the main aim is calories by any means ,Do keep an eye on what you are eating as it’s easy to loose weight if you need to push the dieticians please do so. As once treatment is over for a good while it’s not easy to keep getting enough calories. Keep on top of pain medication as well .
Eggs milk and honey warm not for me lol x

Pasta will work in a food processor, whilst keeping a little texture. I quite liked it mixed with broccoli, green beans and LOADS of butter. Worked until about Week 3 for me.
M&S & Covent Garden fresh soups work quite well, but I think I’m going to try poached salmon and sweet potato this evening. I haven’t decided on what consistency yet - depends on how brave I’m feeling!
Thanks Hazel I wonder would cheese and toast work lol. I am going to make a big effort maybe tomorrow got half a pint of laxido and 3 fortisip to go for today and maybe try something later All The Best Regards Min
