Hey all
Finished treatment 9 days ago, and so far managing ok, i sleep all the time and often wake to find ive covered the sheets with mucus etc, but im managing.
Ive started using the nebulizer a lot more to try to keep on top of the mucus..maybe 5 times a day using the 0.9% saline solution.
It does help, but- despite the tiny amount of salt in the saline, my mouth tastes like i have eaten a bottle of table salt!!! its quite overwhelming!
Did anyone else have this? am i doing something wrong? Has anyone tried using plain water?
Thanks and sorry for the odd question.
Hi Trev. It’s probably more to do with the damage to your salivary glands and the effect of dry mouth on your taste. Do try plain water to see if it makes any difference. Well done on getting through the treatment

i had same problem just use plain boiled tap water. Don’t use bottled water ,my team said just tap water and maybe the saline solution just once a day .
hope this helps.
