Hi all so after 2 cycles of cisplatin and Fu5 then 6 x cisplatin and 30 radiotherapy 3 month check scan showed something still at base of tongue the treatment didn't work on primary had this removed along with 5 biopsies results are a few are close margins not clear so no being radiography surveillance every 6 weeks my ENT specialist said he had only come across this situation where such radical treatment didn't work has anyone else been on 6 week surveillance they said this will last at least a year I feel they are just waiting for a return . I have not had any positive news since this all began .
Hi Bradlou
I am truly sorry to hear this. Could you discuss other options such as immunotherapy? There are a few immunotherpay clinical trials in SCCHN.
Stay strong
Im a bit confused on this one Bradlou as I cannot make sense of it at the moment, although you will get positive news one day as i know it can be a long old process. Please don't feel too down on yourselves, best wishes.
