Hi
ive just signed up as I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed as I have always been healthy. My operation was a success and just want to chat with others who have been through similar. My surgery was in March 2023.
thanks

Hi
That's great news! My motto has been to ask about everything! This world is new to is and I find it better to ask than to worry about things. During the first round of chemo the nurses got weekly calls from me checking things out.
I found around week 7 after surgery I was starting to feel much better.
Hi jojo
My hubby had his op on 28th March so very similar to you. How you coping my hubby has just been put back on slow release morphine as in so much pain. In his abdomen he's just not able to function, he's eating tiny meals which is good but can't tolerate water unless it's warmed up and also can only have decaff tea now. This is all very strange. How are you with food etc and how's your mobility, we are all different but just nice to hear from someone who is at same stage.
Hi Deb
i used to love a cup of tea but now I don’t. I’m not too bad and can walk around. My days vary from hour to hour with lows and highs now I’m trying to get used to eating less but frequently- this isn’t easy for me. The recovery, healing and emotional changes are going to take months to become comfortable and I knew this. Im still on meds but hopefully that’s going to change in the next 3 months. I’m very careful when I’m in public as I don’t want my body knocked. I have a walk every day if I can, I try to tidy up but most of the time I’m sitting or laying but I can definitely see/feel improvements thank goodness. From your message I have tried ginger cordial or cranberry juice at room temperature rather than water and I definitely feel better so thanks. OPA .Org have recipes you might want to check out for ideas. I’ll post on here anymore changes. Thanks
