Great news Nicnac.
We must be on a similar time line. I saw mine on Wednesday. T3N1M0 operable. So relieved that op is possible and no spread. I had to ask him to repeat what he'd said....lol
Just organised today for heart stress test tomorrow then laparoscopy pre op and op next Tuesday and Friday. If that is all ok, onto chemo op and chemo.
With all that info to hand I have now felt able to tell all my family. While that's been emotional they have all been very supportive.
I am on a very similar path T2N1M0. Had laparoscopic staging and had first round of flot chemo last Wednesday…… side effects not been too bad. Mainly tired and lethargic like a hangover but without the fun the night before! Few stomach pains/ cramps. Feel almost fine again now..
Even managed a comedy evening and a couple of beers tonight!!!! NO cold drinks for 7 days after chemo. Bit of tingling touching cold things but nothing drastic!!
Hi Ade. Smashed it Pal...lol
Thighs were aching a bit towards the end which I thought would never come.
Docs happy. So I'm happy. Got laparoscopy pre op Tuesday and op on Friday so all being well should be in chemo soon.
It's really strange talking about all this stuff. Never thought it would be me if course. The misses is struggling more than me. She fearing the worst of course.
I hope your doing ok. How's the chemo going? Do they inject it into a vein? I've seen someone mention a Hickman line which I think is into your chest.
Well done!! I had a different type of lung test…. On a machine and a heart scan. Laparoscopic op is pretty painless! 3 little holes glued back together! Bit sore after but not much. I have a picc line in my arm that they use. Not too painful to fit.
got 2nd cycle of chemo next Thursday. First one has just left me fuzzy headed, tired and lethargic.few belly cramps. Felt fine yesterday and today though!!!
Hi
i wasn’t told not to drink cold drinks but one of the flot chemos we have can affect your nerves especially hands and feet making you very sensitive to the cold, I found this included my throat and I had to drink warm drinks. I had a lot of just boiled water during chemo which I found soothing strangely.
It is possible you won’t be affected as it is a side affect but you will know straight away if you are.
I hope it all goes well for you.
