Hello, so my husband has done 3 chemo treatments, they said not working so the started a stronger chemo treatment which he did 2 so far plus he's had 3 immunotherapy treatments as well. Last Friday the hospital called saying they were cancelling his treatments and he is seeing the specialist in 2 days. My husband has surgery in 2017 where there re-contructed his oesophagus because of stage 4 cancer and now 4 years later it came back as generalized, he has a tumor near his heart and lesions in his colon. I am very worried and because of this Covid stuff I can not be with him but he can put me in the phone to listen and ask questions. He has lost more weight I think he weighs maybe 100lbs now.....I have breast cancer on on hormone therapy for 5 years it will be 1 year this fall and all this stress is making me very weak.
My question you is if you or someone you know has gone through this........should I prepare myself to think at he's near the end?? or is there still hope?
Hi, I am really sorry to hear what you and your husband are going through, it must be very difficult. I have not been through this personally, but it might be an idea to prepare a list if the questions you want to ask the specialist. It's also worth asking again if you can attend the appointment with him, I know some clinics have relaxed their Covid rules on this. I do hope you get the answers and support you need. Best wishes
