    Hello Alan,

Very pleased to have you on this magical forum. (But I wish you didn't need to be.)

Ask anything you like, there are many people who will be in the same boat.

You can also ask a nurse under the "Ask an expert" page.

Personally speaking, I think this is one of my best decisions, to have so much support & so many answers.

It takes the weight off your shoulders, gives you perspective, & makes you realise that you're never alone.

If you want to share your personal info, (and you don't have to), please do. And do not be afraid to rant, use this forum as a release valve.

I'm sorry you are here, but you are in the best place.

    Best wishes,

    Graeme.

  • Hi and a second welcome to the online community

Could I just clarify the suggestion made by to "share your personal info". Macmillan ask that "you do not post your own personal information such as your real full name, home addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses" as anything you post here is public so can be viewed by anyone, not just those in the Community.

I think what Graeme was suggesting was that you pop something about your cancer journey into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

    Hi latchwood,

Yes, I didn't mean  name, address, etc.

As you say, it's the cancer journey that will help others to help Alan, advice, support, idea's, etc.

Having read it back, I can see that my wording wasn't clear & could be read as personal name, address, etc.

    I apologise,

    Best regards,

    Graeme.

    Hi Alan,

Would you be happy to write a little part in your Bio with regards to your cancer. Then you'd have lots of support & prior experience from this forum. We are here for anything you need, answers, ideas, support, but we do need to know about your health status. Otherwise we have nothing for reference.

You could even just write a post to let the community know what you are going through. More people would see this too.

    Best wishes Alan,

    regards,

    Graeme.
