Saw my husband off this morning to his surgery. I'm absolutely petrified. It's so scary thinking of what he is going through. Please please let him be ok.
I can't imagine what it is like for the close family on a day like this. I had my surgery in April 2022 and my wife still reminds me that I went off in to the hospital with a skip in my step - I was so pleased to be going in to get something done so it was easy for me. My wife, mother and daughter were all just sat at home wondering what was going on and I was mostly oblivious to it all - so lots of waiting for them but it all went so quickly for me. I went in at 7am and I think that it was about 4pm before they heard how it went. I got to speak to my wife about 7pm (I think) from Intensive Care.
Just remember that your husband is in the best place getting the treatment from the best people.
Thinking of you
I am sure he will be fine. At the moment he is oblivious to it all. Try and stay calm. I know it is a very long and difficult day for you. You are the one feeling the pressure not your husband. He is receiving the very best of care. He will be so glad that he has had the opportunity to have this surgery.
Hope your husband is ok.
My husband is having his operation on the 29th December,
