Hi,

In November 2021 I joined this group when my husband was diagnosed. It felt like our whole world had fallen apart. This group and it's wonderful people helped us through the tough days, with great advise and positive messages.

Today (after two courses of FLOT chemo and an operation in 2022) my husband ran the London marathon, raising money for MacMillian Cancer Support.

So much has changed since those first days when we were told, through the waiting for the tests to come back and days of treatment. My husband is now fitter and healthier than he has been in many years.

I just wanted thank everyone who shared their journeys with us, inspired us and helped us stay positive.

  • Congratulations Goldie's Husband...  what a fantastic thing to have been able to do..

Goldie, I can tell by the way you have worded your message how very proud of him you are, and you should be.. Well done to both of you for moving forward and facing the past years together.

    Brilliant!

  • I hope Andy’s operation went well Vonn. How is he today? Best wishes, Julie

  • Hi Julie

Operation went well . He's really struggling today with getting the correct pain relief , he's on morphine but it doesn't seem to be doing anything . His breathing is not good as theyvdeflated a lung but I'm sure each day will be an Improvement.

I hope that you're doing well

    Bestvwishes

  • Pleased to hear the operation went well. I’m sure it was agony for you too as it’s a long day; my nearest and dearest found it a long day when I had my op. Fingers crossed they get the pain relief sorted and he makes a great recovery. Best wishes, Julie

  • That’s wonderful to hear x
