Hi,
My husband finally had his oncologist appointment last Tuesday 27th Feb, endoscopy was 29th Dec, had the call today to say chemo starts on 21st March, I think this process has been way too slow, any thoughts on this please.
Hi.
I was about three months from diagnosis to chemo start. Government target is maximum 62 days so I was about 25 days over.
I know there is a lot of investigation and diagnostic testing prior to this but the waiting is awful. Knowing that your tumor is getting bigger and might be spreading is so worrying.
So your wait is pretty normal but outside the guidelines. Why they make you wait so long I don't understand.
Good luck with it all.
Geo.
