Mum was due a stent fitting last Thursday but unfortunately couldn't be done as no beds.
We are due to go back tomorrow.
I feel so nervous for her. I wonder is there any reasons why it would not go ahead other than beds.
Trying to be positive x
Hello Ollie1
I hope you do not mind me responding as I had a different type of cancer to your Mum, but I noticed you had not yet had a reply. By me doing so it will hopefully bump your post.
I am sorry to hear that Mum's stent fitting had to be postponed due to there not being any beds. It must have been frustrating. I know that when I have appointments/procedures to go to I would get very keyed up and to have it cancelled at the last moment must have been hard.
I hope that Mum has now had her stent fitted and that it has gone well. I hope that she is not in too much discomfort.
Hopefully someone will now see your post and offer support, but in the meantime if there is anything you need, then please do ask.
If talking things through would help then please do give the Support Line a call and speak with one of the nurses. They would be able to talk you through anything regarding the stent as well.
Jane
