Hello onos
I am sorry to read that your husband is having such a tough time, I wonder if it is worth asking the oncologist whether he can have a a chest port fitted, to enable the regular intravenous treatments to take place without the discomfort of the pic line.
It is sad that your husband feels that he is being lied to, sometimes there has to be changes in treatment type as the weeks progress and more is found out about how your husband is reacting.
I do hope they can offer him some more comfortable alternatives that he feels able to cope with.
Please ask the team in charge of his care, and let them know how he is feeling, as they will be able to do the best they can to make things easier for him.

thank you we have ask she said no at first wanted to have a hick line but we said no a port so it has been agreed next week as for the letter we finally got the doctor to do it 8 weeks later . and i didn't go to the appointment sent my daughter as she more focal found out quite a few things 1 is why hell is still in pain when eats even if drink they think its what he eats his stent fine tumour not grown just he has to eat less processed food as they take to long to break down ,as for he always tired all day my daughter ask if he iron level low or thyroid low even sugar as diabetics can occurs. we waiting for results been 3 weeks now for that results just seams to take so long , he always unable to go toilet as well so in quite a lot of discomfort ,
I am pleased that you were able to get agreement for the port, has that been sorted out for him now?
Processed food can be a real negative, we found that, and Dal changed his eating habits to include foods that are high in antioxidants, eating better quality food may improve his ability to go to the toilet also, if not then the doctor should be able to provide a mild laxative to help with that.
