This may be a bit premature on my part as I haven't even started chemo yet (3.5 months since diagnosis + , is this a record yet?) But I'm wondering if anyone has been through this with coeliac and how hard hard have they found it to find things they can eat. I'm used to eating being a logistical nightmare already and most of the stuff people in here talk about eating are out of bounds already for me.. so I was just wondering how hard it is to find things to eat? It's mostly snacks and things to that are impossible to find that are gluten free? Assuming they ever get round to treating me that is.
Thanks
Hello Joe
I have just read your post and am so sorry to find you have not received any replies. I am from the Prostate Cancer forum so I can't answer your questions, however by me replying to your post it will "bump" it back to the top of the forum and give members another chance to read your problems regarding your diet.
I hope this helps and you get the information you are looking for.
If I can do anything else for you please don't hesitate to get back to me.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Joe
Well that's quite possible. Once I leave the Prostate Forum I am at a loss to give advice but I am not too bad with "signposting" so may I suggest:
* Speak to your Consultant / Secretary - each hospital does have a dietician, they should be able to point you in the right direction.
* You could also join Chemotherapy forum by clicking on the link I have created and then clicking on "join" on the black banner at the bottom of the page. Then either repost or copy and paste your question.
I hope one of the above works for you.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Joe H
I am sorry to see of your diagnosis of Oesophageal cancer.
I wonder if it is worth you contacting this organisation for specific advice on your coeliac disease.
There is also a section for health professionals that maybe worth showing your CNS.

Another thing that you could consider is asking to be referred to a hospital dietician to get some up to date advice. You could speak with your CNS or oncologist about this.
