Hi all, my husband was diagnosed last year with stage 4 oc. He's in his mid 30s so they've thrown everything at him,he had FLOT and then keyhole robotic surgery to remove his oesophagus 2 months ago. He's been left with an awful dry cough that's really impacting his quality of life, he's eating well now but is coughing so much He's in pain almost constantly.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
Thank you
Hi R903
Apologies that there have been no replies to your post, I have commented so as to bump it up a bit in the hope that someone may be able to help.
Have you asked his oncologist on how best to manage the dry cough?, it is important that this is looked into especially if his quality of life is being impacted!
I do hope he gets some support and guidance with this.

Hi
my husband has the Ivor Lewis op in feb of this year. He had a cough for about 6-8 weeks, very annoying. He was told to drink warm drinks or suck on sweets to help, also given codeine linctus. Cough did go however 3 weeks ago it has returned as annoying as ever. Every time he eats, drinks and he can’t say a full sentence most of the time without coughing.
If you find any answers to the cough please let me know. It’s driving us mad.
