My dad (72) has been diagnosed and he seems so unwell.
He is going to have some radiotherapy from 15th sept and then start chemo a few weeks later.
He has had to have blood transfusions as he is severely anemic and its hurting me to see him this way.
Is there anyone else who has a close family member with same who I could chat to?
I am so grateful to be able to connect via this group.
She’s not too bad thank you , she has been offered immunotherapy so need to think about that. How is your dad?
Dad is exhausted after the 5 sessions of radiotherapy. Just hope it does what it's meant to do.
I don't know much about immunotherapy.
Hello
My father (my best mate) is 74 and diagnosed with oesophageal cancer two weeks ago. Although he was in hospital for a few weeks before as he was unable to eat.
He starts his treatment (chemo and immunotherapy) at Royal Marsden on Weds. They say it’s incurable but manageable if he responds well.
I’m just trying to keep his spirits up. He loved food but now can barely keep a cup a soup down. Although I’m nervous for him to start treatment I’m holding on to all hopes that this will improve his quality of life.
im sending you and your dad lots of love and strength in your journey!
Lisa xx
