6 years ago i was on this site when my dear dad was diagnosed with this god awful disease. He was diagnosed in the September and sadly passed away 9 weeks later on December 6th at 53years old. The docs said he had a very agressive form...he never did anything by half did my dad.
Anyway cut to now and my fabulous father in law has just been diagnosed! What are the chances
Trying not to compare but its so hard. Its very early and we havent had the full plan yet but from "experiance" it doesnt look good. They couldnt get the camera down due to blockage, its spread to liver and lungs and he is struggling to eat.
Im a literally reliving the worst days of my life with a man who obviously never replaced my dad but is there as a bloody good stand in.
Not sure why i have posted but just needed to "chat/vent", sturggling a lot!
Man life is cruel
Hello Hellsbells85
I wanted to respond to your post because I want to let you know that so much has changed in 6 years in regards to treating this type of diagnosis. My Husband was diagnosed in May, he also has a highly aggressive condition and I was told only last week by the oncologist that if he had not opted for treatment he would already have passed... (it's hard to imagine when I see how well he looks now)
There are different diagnosis's for this, and it is a waiting game for you all to see which route your father in law will take, fingers crossed for you all for the most positive of news.
My Husband and I are writing a blog, Facing the Future Together, this may give you some ideas on foods and possible treatments... he also has a diagnosis which shows a spread to Lymph, Liver and Lungs...
Here to chat if you need to vent, I won't have all the answers but I certainly can identify with what you are going through right now.
Fingers crossed for you all...
