After surgery please be very careful with what you’re eating chew everything more than you did before, there is a drug called creon that I take which breaks down fat that you digest this is a supplement because your stomach is not near your pancreas which sends out enzymes to breakdown fat. I also take a multivitamin soluble tablets both are on prescription only, don’t drink fizzy drinks as that will give you diarrhoea I do have a drink of wine now and then which I enjoy with no effect, reflux only happens at night and still does after 12yrs never goes away so stay safe everyone need any advice please get in touch insight is helpful..

  • Hi Dods. I just like the fact you are 12 years down the road! Fantastic news for us all. Perhaps near the longest that has reported in. I feel like a juvenile having only 2 years service!. Creon is not always available but Nutrizym is just as good. For those like me who can't stand the taste of those soluble multi vitamins they are available as the solid capsule Forceval available on prescription. A lot of people are struggling so severely with this horrible disease and we need to be so grateful to the medical staff who have enabled us survive it.

  • I’m glad I didn’t read this before my IL !!’ I’ve had non of these things ! Thank goodness !

  • Creon is available you need a prescription hand written by doctor for unlicensed medicine you then take to chemist that will order for you it comes directly from germany 24hrs service I do this all the time, The nhs has a large amount but won’t supply any.

  • I also forgot to tell you all my weight is normal now 82kg and I’m still weighing about every two weeks
