Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to give you an update as you have all been so supportive. We have been given a T3 L2 diagnosis but the CT scan could not confirm spread. They are saying possibly M1 with a shadow they can see. Got to wait for the MRI and PET scan which are happening Christmas Eve to get the final diagnosis. I assume this may not be until the New Year now and the wait is so upsetting as he has no plan at the moment.
It is all so stressful and I feel so sick with worry. I don’t even know what this means or whether he will be able to have surgery. He is managing pain relief well now and is eating better. He is still at work but gets very tired. My worry is he keeps having vomiting episodes where he feels like he will be sick or is sick. Thank you all for listening and I hope you all have a nice Christmas x

  • Hi

Good to hear from you a bit of good news in there the MRI and PET scan will give you the answers but sadly not until the new year as you say! Vomiting is all part of the course ( well it was with me when I was able to eat ) and waiting for it to decide if it’s going down or coming up is annoying glad pain is under control as this must really get him down.

As a lot of people say on here it’s a marathon not a sprint which I am starting to understand

wishing you a nice Christmas under the circumstances my chemo is now booked for Boxing Day but this good as far as I’m concerned as it’s one less day to watch people eating and drinking Joy

    • Thank you Tricia. We just want a plan now and will try and enjoy Christmas the best we can. I suppose I don’t understand all the letters and numbers and googling just scares me. How are things with you? I am glad you have a date for your chemo. I hope it all goes well on Boxing Day.
      Hugs xx
  • There is a section on here telling you about staging which might help I’m T3 which means it’s gone to the outer wall  N0 so it’s not in the nymph glands and M0 which means it hasn’t spread never been told the actual size of the tumour as far as I can remember or given a grade.

all good with me thanks do not google their statistics are well out of date

    sending hugs Tricia
